Plum trees

For the 2023/24 season, we have produced over 35,000 plum trees for you.

In addition to standard varieties such as Stanley, Cacanska rodna, Cacanska best, Russian dzenarika and Cacanska beauty, this year we also included Cacanska rana in production. For larger quantities, it is possible to negotiate the price and transport. Also, all seedlings have been inspected by the competent agricultural service and have a certificate. Shipping season starts on November 15th. Below you can see descriptions of some other plum trees .

STANLEY

Stanley plum trees  originate from the USA, where they were first produced in 1926. It ripens in the second half of August, and the fruits are very large (weighing 36 to 40 g), dark blue, elongated-oval, sweet taste and juicy green-yellow flesh. It is used fresh, it is suitable for drying, as well as for industrial processing. The stone is large and easily separated from the pulp.

CACANSKA RODNA

Plum fruit trees of the Čačak native variety is the variety that experts say is the best of all created at the Čačak Institute of Fruit Growing. It belongs to the newer species, and its “parents” are its moths and burners. It participates in nursery production with 18%, and is successfully grown in orchards throughout Europe. At the end of August, dark blue, egg-shaped fruits with an aromatic smell and good quality, weighing about 30 grams, ripen. The flesh of the ripe fruit is yellowish in color, firm, juicy and very sweet. Regular and abundant yields have made this variety extremely grateful for cultivation.

CACANSKA BEST

The fruit trees of the plum from Čačak are the best domestic variety, which was recognized in 1975. Although it is grown sporadically in Serbia, the right to grow it was bought by Slovakia and Germany. It ripens in the third decade of August, the fruit on the branch can survive for more than two weeks without losing quality. It is very large and ball-shaped, and the juicy and firm flesh has a sweet-sour taste and is yellow in color. This variety bears abundantly, is resistant to diseases, suitable for freezing, drying and production of brandy, and therefore belongs to the quality table plums.

CACANSKA RANA

Plum fruit trees Cacanska rana is another in a series of newer domestic plum varieties. It ripens at the beginning of July, gives birth well and regularly, especially in warmer regions, and in addition to having quality fruits, it is resistant to diseases and is recommended for cultivation. The fruit is large and heavy, egg-shaped, slightly elongated, and its color ranges from purple to blue. The relatively large stone is located in the yellow and firm flesh, with a sweet-sour taste. Ripe fruits are less tolerant of transport.

CACANSKA BEAUTY

Plum fruit trees from Čačak are of domestic origin, created at the Institute of Fruit Growing in Čačak, and in 1975 they were recognized as a variety. It ripens in late July and early August. Its fruits are medium-sized, ovoid, with a longitudinal groove. They are dark blue in color, sour in taste and juicy, firm, green-yellow flesh (medium-sized stone is easily separated from the flesh). In Serbia, it is represented by 6% of trees in the nursery production of plums, and it is also grown in several European countries – Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Bulgaria.

POZEGACA

Pozegace plum trees give smaller fruits of about 17 grams, which are mainly used for drying and brandy. The fruit is firm, blue-blue in color with a shallow groove that runs through the fruit, the taste is slightly sour and refreshing. The fruit tolerates transport well. It ripens in mid-September.

RUSSIAN DZENARIKA

The fruit of the Russian genus (Obilnaya) has a wide use both in industry and in the preparation of various bases that are used for further processing. It is a plum that does not require any chemical treatments, and therefore is excellent for organic production. its fruits are yellow-red. It ripens in early July.

CALIFORNIAN BLUE

California blue plum fruit trees give very large fruits and reach a weight of up to 70 grams and belong to the table varieties of plums. The stone is small and easily separated from the fruit. It ripens in the middle of July. It gives birth abundantly and regularly. It originated in the USA. It is a good pollinator for other plum varieties.

ANGELINA

Plum fruit trees of the Angelina variety give medium-sized fruit. It is a classic European variety originated in France but is spread all over the world. The fruit is purple in color and has a very juicy taste. It ripens in mid-September and is partially self-fertile. Reaches a height of 3.5 meters. Substrate: Dzenarika

RUTH GESTETER

The fruit seedlings of the ruth gesteter plum are the earliest variety of plum. The fruit is of medium size, about 35 grams of purple-blue color, belongs to the table varieties and is mainly used for consumer use. It ripens in late June. The pollinators are the Čačak wound, Stanley and the Čačak native. It originated in Germany.

PRESIDENT

Presidential plum fruit seedlings were created in England, the lushness of the tree is medium to strong. Raja regularly and abundantly. The fruits are very large, dark red-purple in color. The flesh of the fruit is yellow, firm, sweet with an exceptional aroma. Pollinators are Ruthgerstetter, Stanley.
